Coker Cleveland was born and bred in Calhoun County, raised up in the White Plains area. His dad was coach and founder of the White Plains school football program, where Coker played football as a child. He later attended the University of Alabama, where he played fullback from 1993-1996, and found his inspiration to return to a childhood dream: practicing law as an attorney.
Coker attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, where he edited American Journal of Trial Advocacy, won scholarships and writing awards, and graduated in the top 33 percent of his class.
Coker began practicing law in 2002 and has worked cases in Heflin, Birmingham, Anniston, and Calhoun County, from car crashes to criminal defense and family law.
Coker is married to Alison Cleveland. The couple celebrated the birth of their daughter, Savannah Claire, in October 2016.
